RATES
Square Inch Price
I charge 2 cents per square inch for all designs.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .02 = $96. (Thread is included in per square inch cost).
Batting
I use and stock Pellon batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend. I can easily provide other blends upon request, including the Quilters Dream, Hobbs, Hobbs Tuscany brands. Due to increase in costs and shipping, as well as shipping delays, I stopped stocking Quilters Dream however, I can order packages specific to the size of your quilt and will be added to your invoice.

Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.
I charge for batting by the linear inch from rolls of batting except in the case of special orders. I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 4" margin) and charge linear per inch. For special order batting, I will add the cost to your invoice including the shipping cost.
For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I will cut 64" of the batting of your choice.
64" of 80/20 cotton/poly blend @ $0.30/in = $19.20 (most popular)
Batting costs are subject to change due to rising costs of product and shipping at this time.

Please note: Some quilters like to provide their own batting. I will not accept Mountain Mist brand. In my opinion it is a poor quality and I want your beautiful quilt to last generations.
Thread
I stock Glide (Fil-Tech #40 weight) exclusively and will order specialty threads if requested. I don't charge any extra fees for thread use; it's included in your square inch price.
My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the dominant color areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference on thread color.
Photography
I'm not a professional photographer but I do my best to take "nice" photos with my cell phone camera! :) Upon completion of the quilting, I will take a photo of your quilt in studio and then text/email you those images to use however you would like. I'd just ask that you credit me for the photo and/or quilting if posting publicly. This extra service is included in your square inch price.
Shipping
Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in Texas, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.
Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via USPS Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $100 of insurance and a tracking number however additional insurance can be added for a minimal cost. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but I don't require it.

If your quilt is too large for any of the USPS Priority Mail boxes, then I will ship via FedEx or UPS depending on which is cheaper unless you specifically request one of these carriers.
Other Costs
As mentioned above, batting is not included in the square inch price. I'm required by the State of Texas to collect a 8.25% sales tax on the batting and quilting service portion of an invoice. Batting, shipping, and any design/pantograph fees are not subject to sales tax if outside the state of Texas.
Payment
After the work is complete, I will invoice you via email. I really do appreciate timely payments as that enables me to mail your project(s) back to you right away.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have!
